Practical Fishkeeping March issue is now on sale!
This month we have a strong focus on two opposite sides of the hobby. We start with some blackwater features. A new contributor, Phil, explores an unexpected blackwater habitat in a Rio Negro tributary, while Tai creates a Rio Guaporé blackwater biotope for some familiar tetras. Then we pivot to the crystal-clear waters of coral reefs. Chris takes a dive in the Caribbean, exploring the creatures on the reefs around Saint Lucia, before Jeremy continues his beginner’s guide to reef aquariums, this time focusing on some additional equipment you’ll need for success.
Some other topics covered include:
· Safeguarding Your Aquarium - Matt Hayes believes a quarantine tank will save you plenty of headaches down the line and he outlines how the uses them.
· Natural pest control – Jeremy offers up some fish and invertebrates to help control the pests in your reef tank.
· Another bite of the cherry - Gabor revisits the colourful world of Neocaridina shrimp, looking at various the colour variants available.
