IPv6 is the latest version of the technology that allows devices to connect over the internet. It was designed to support the internet's continued growth.

We are adding support for IPv6 alongside our existing IPv4 service. Some of our websites (including this one) are already available on IPv6 if you have a suitable connection.

Our current IPv4 support will remain in place to ensure our services are available to all.

We aim to complete the addition of IPv6 support by the end of October 2026.

The addition of IPv6 support should have no impact on individual subscribers.

If you are an institutional subscriber and you use our automatic login by IP address service, we may need to update our records to add your IPv6 ranges. Our institutional sales team will be in touch to request your current IPv6 ranges in advance of our update in October 2026.
