Practical Fishkeeping June issue is on sale now! Somehow, another month has passed by, but the good news is it means we have another magazine full of some amazing features for you to enjoy. We have a few new contributors in this issue to introduce you to.
Dan Lockyer explores the nitrogen cycle, using the knowledge he gained when writing a dissertation on the efficacy of aquarium bacteria products. Sam Norley outlines the steps required to breed high quality koi whether in a large aquaculture setting or in a back garden.
Last but not least, Bob Merritt shares some of the knowledge he has acquired over the years of keeping the amazing Aphyosemion killifish.
Of course, plenty of familiar faces are featured too, including an article outlining how I came to add yet another aquarium to my collection. This time, venturing into the world of domestic Siamese fighters. Some other topics covered include:
· Micro cats- Gabor investigates two genera of catfish that are well suited to smaller aquariums.
· Dwarf angelfish- They may not be totally reef safe, but aquarists continue to take the risk due to their bright colours, and interesting behaviours.
· Rook pool wonders- Explore the fascinating aquatic species that can be found living on the UK’s rocky coastline.
